I found the box with all your sentiments poured--like petals of a rose, on a faded sheet of thin paper--smeared with tears
Those tears were mine. Each one--staining; blotting the letters-- trying to erase them, rub them, fade them all away... like you did me--from your life.
The words didn't stir, nor vanish-- so did the pain and anguish, So you no longer cared and wouldn't share:
our dreams, aspirations and the thumping palpitations.
